Responsibilities
- Assist in product developments (web/apps), overall planning, researching, developing, and testing
- Build effective web modules that will aid and enhance user browser experience
- Write reliable, efficient, scalable, clean, well-structured, and easily maintainable code
- Keep up to date with latest web technologies, standard and programming techniques
- Strong knowledge on web design technologies, protocols, standards and frameworks
- Support and maintenance of website
Requirements
- Proficient with Ruby on Rails
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing startup environment
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demand and timeliness through analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Solid understanding of the full stack used in building a consumer website (from unix system administration, database, backend application code, HTML / CSS, and javascript layers)
- Familiarity with best practices in software development, e.g. unit testing, version control, automated deployments, data protection
- 1-3 years professional experience in a software engineering role, preferably with a consumer web or mobile startup
- Can work independently and supervise others
- Candidates with English ability (verbal and written)
